Zumba® Fitness takes the “work” out of a workout by mixing low- and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie burning fitness party! Our Zumba® Fitness classes incorporate dance steps (merengue, salsa, mambo, cumbia, and more!), with extra emphasis on toning and sculpting. Zumba Sentao® combines strength and resistance training with innovative dance moves using a chair as your dance partner. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called “exercise in disguise.”

What to wear/bring
Wear supportive sneakers! Zumba® Fitness incorporates lots of side-to-side movements and pivoting. A sneaker with a low profile is better because it will allow you to slide instead of stopping you in your tracks. If shoe shopping, look for dance sneakers or athletic dance shoes that have pivot circles on the bottom of the shoes (underneath the balls of your feet). Wear comfortable, workout type clothing that will allow you freedom of movement. Bring plenty of water and a towel (you will sweat!). Most importantly, bring your enthusiasm!

We are pleased to again partner with Sunday StrongTM and offer one 45-minute Zumba® Fitness class to a special group of athletes on Thursdays at 4 p.m. Sunday Strong’s mission is to increase physical activity in individuals 16 years and older with intellectual disabilities by partnering with fitness providers to host weekly group exercise classes at no cost to their athletes. Described as the art of controlled movements, Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength, and tones your entire body. Pilates puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. Pilates benefits everyone, from beginner to advanced.
Mat Pilates classes use your body weight as the primary source of resistance. Your first Mat Pilates class is FREE!
Pilates Apparatus classes use small, portable equipment pieces and also larger apparatus (the Cadillac and the Reformer) that have a series of adjustable springs and ropes to provide resistance. Included are Body Composition Analyses, which will allow you to track changes in your muscle mass and body fat percentages.

Want a personal trainer but don’t want to spend $80/hour? Join us for Butts & Guts! Designed to strengthen and tone your core, glutes, and thighs, this one-hour class is a super effective workout that will transform your body!
Included are Body Composition Analyses (valued at $65 each) of your weight; % body fat, hydration, lean muscle mass, and visceral fat; metabolic age; bone mass density; basal metabolic rate; and physique rating. A chart is maintained for each participant so you will be able to track changes in your muscle mass and body fat percentages. Let us show you why the number on your bathroom scale may be the worst measure of your progress and efforts to improve your health and fitness!

Regular stretching can lengthen your muscle tissue and keep your muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, which can improve the range of motion of your joints. Stretching can also help your muscles work more effectively, which can improve your muscle strength, and improve your posture and mood, reduce stress, and help to prevent injuries.
We will teach you how to stretch safely and effectively. Stretches will be modified for the beginner as well as for those more advanced. Everyone and every body will benefit from this class!

Sascom Systems’ personal defense training is unique. Our system is the only system that goes into the psychology of close quarters, hand-to-hand combat to prepare you mentally as well as physically. After just five hours with a licensed Sascom Instructor, you will be better prepared to avoid injury and possibly save your life if your personal safety is threatened.
Class attendees receive a 63-page manual and are welcome to join us at Studio 14 to practice the self-defense moves during the last hour of any regularly scheduled class.
